Make-A-List Monday - Time For Fun!!

Hi, all!

Monday again, and winter has finally arrived in Middle Tennessee.  Saturday it was 70 degrees - - - and right now it is 30 and sleeting! They say if you don't like the weather, just stick around for a few minutes - - and I think they're right!  But it does make it easy to stay inside...

First, let's see how I did on last week's list...

1.  Finish that wall hanging!
Done - or close enough for government work!
I still need to hand stitch the binding down but I can do that first thing tomorrow morning...

2.  Make at least four blocks for a Scrappy Trips
king-sized quilt.
Done!  These four are finished and I've got a bunch of strips cut to make more...

3.  Make the messenger bag.
Didn't get to this one.... again.....

4.  Work on the knitting project.
It's coming along - but doesn't look a whole lot different
than last week...

5.  Work on any ministry needs that come up.
Done!  I finished two quilts last week for the ministry...

This week, my daughter and her family are on vacation, so I don't have the girls - which means quilting time!!!  I've got an ambitious list for the week...

1.  Quilt and bind two ministry quilts.

2.  Finish the binding on the wall hanging.

3.  Make a baby quilt (commission job!)

4.  Make that messenger bag!

5.  Quilt my "Orange You Glad" quilt.

6.  Make more scrappy trips blocks.

7.  Work on any ministry needs that come up.

I spent Sunday afternoon making quilt backs and binding so I am ready to get going on all of these projects this week.  And if the weather cooperates - it's sleeting outside right now and may continue with sleet/freezing rain/snow overnight - I will be more than happy to stay at home all day tomorrow in my jammies and work on these projects!

So now the question is - - - what are you working on this week?

Hugs!

Sarah

  1. I've had to put my scrappy trips to the side this week, my uncle who lives six hours away is doing poorly, I decided to go ahead and make him the quilt I was going to make for Christmas. My mom suggested making a lap quilt he could use while he was in his wheel chair. That is my goal for this week, and maybe get a granny square or two done!

  2. Very nice quilts! This week is catching the new BOMs that start this week and getting my large Twister quilt ready for the longarmer - black thread on a lot of black fabric - not my tea, so sending it out.

  5. I'm doing fun creating of a random quilt and ignoring all the qulting and hanging sleeves that I should be doing as prep for our show. I'm incorrigible.

  7. A good day to stay off the roads! It's a balmy 20 something here, but we're headed to 36! Heat wave!

  8. Lovely group of projects from last week! I know you will mill your little helpers but hope you get lots done with your extra time. I just found out yesterday that fabric 120 yards had been ordered to be shipped to my house for flags for Winter Guard so I will be putting aside my own projects for awhile to get 62 flags made in the next couple weeks :)

  11. This week I'm finally getting back to some sewing. Making triangle scarves (I call them bad hair days scarves) for my grandgirls and DILs to bring with me on my trip. And I'm finally getting back to my palms quilt.
Stay warm in those jammies, Girl. Your weather sounds awful. Sunny and about 50 here in central CA.
    Hugs
