Hi, all!
Monday? How did that happen? Holiday weekends always mess with my timing, it seems - but that's really no excuse for my results this week. I need to get back on track with following my list!
Here's how last week's list went...
1. Keeping working on the fifth String Therapy prototype.
I'm happy to say that not only is the fifth prototype finished...
...but I also finished the sixth and final one!
2. Write up estimates for the commission quilts.
Done! Deposit received, and fabric ordered and received, too, so I'm ready to start on these this week.
3. Contact potential H2H sponsors and charities.
I have a comprehensive list of sponsors ready, but haven't written my request letter yet. The charities are chosen, except for one for which I need to formulate a proposal.
4. Quilt some tops for the quilt ministry.
Didn't get to this one (hanging head in shame...)
5. Start writing the String Therapy tutorials.
Didn't get to this one either. Looks like I need to spend some time at the computer during the day this week!
6. Update the H2H Page on my blog.
I haven't finished everything I need to do before updating the page, but I did create this year's blog avatar!
I'm pulling stitches from a quilt that was 99% completed. I happened to turn the quilt over and looked at the stitching on the back and discovered the tension was bad -- all through the quilting. Put it in--rip it out--put it back in--properly!
ReplyDeleteI'm doing an online quilt retreat for a while today ... and I put up the new logo for H2H in my sidebar!
ReplyDeleteGreat finishes--the pinks turned out to be so intricate and complex! Nice work!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous string quilt top finishes! I can offer a prize for your Hands2Help this year. So, you have a start on that goal!
ReplyDeleteTa-Da!!! Looks to me like you accomplished splendidly!!
ReplyDeleteI worked on a little scrap quilt that will be for H2H. It was a bunch of orphaned HST's and it is turning out so cute! Foggy cold day here...perfect for sewing together some HST's.
I am trying to finish the little challenge top so I can get it quilted and bound by the deadline next month. That has been taking a lot of time these last two weeks. I am also trying to sew a dress and made good progress on that yesterday. I need to attach binding to 3 quilts and hope to get to that by the end of the week. I also want to cut out a pair of pants. It is an ambitious do to list but I really need to get all these things done.
ReplyDeleteI love your 6th string quilt........what a fun contrast of the center and that border!
