100 Quilts For Christmas - The last installment!

Hi, all!

In case you haven't seen it anywhere else in blogland, there is a great charity event going on out there called 100 Quilts For Christmas.  Here is the low-down on how to participate:

1. Make a blanket
2. Take a picture
3. Donate the blanket to someone or an organization of your choice
4. Post a picture of the quilt on any of three link-up days, and of course there will be prizes, including a grand prize drawing on Wednesday, December 15!
5. Here are the link-up days and locations:
Monday November 29 -- Amy Lou Who's blog
Monday, December 6 -- Swim, Bike, Quilt's blog
Monday, December 13 -- Aunt Spicy's blog
6. Also posting pictures on Flickr

Today is the final link-up day - but you've still got time to join in!  Whip up a blanket or quilt, or find one you've already made that you can donate to a child in need, and join in the fun!!

I'm linking up a pair of quilts today -

These will be going to a brother and sister who have recently moved to our area with their mother.  Our church has been helping them get out of a shelter and into some permanent housing, and hopefully these quilts will give them a little cheer and color on their beds.

Here's a close-up of the girl's quilt - I call this one "Froggy Went A-Courtin'"....  It was made by my friend Cassie for our quilt ministry.

And this is the boy's quilt, up close and personal - it's name is "Rocket Man"!

I hope you can find time to contribute to this worthy cause - it's a great way to remember "the reason for the season"!  Be sure to pop over to Aunt Spicy's blog to see all the great quilts that have been posted this week!

Stay warm!!  (Or cool, I guess, for those of you "down under"!)

  1. Darling quilts. How wonderful...you helping that mother out with her kids. I was a single mom with 4 kids for many years....so I have a soft spot for people like this!

  3. Hi Sarah!
I love your 100 QFC pair of quilts, and Froggie went a Courtin' is one of my favorite songs from days of yore. Nice background on your blog home page as well.
    Cheers,
Becky Wolsk (who is also a QFCer this month!)

  4. These are such happy quilts! This is a very good thing - 100 Quilts for Christmas. If it is an annual thing maybe I can get in on it next year. Unfortunately, too late to get something made today, wish I had known sooner!
